This program explores various heat pump configurations, from traditional to dual fuel used in supporting electrification and decarbonization. It covers heat pump terminology, sizing based on ASHRAE climate zones, selecting auxiliary heat, compares CO2 emissions and energy consumption with traditional gas/electric and electric/electric rooftop units.

Our presenter, Mitchell Kelley, is a P.E. in the state of Illinois and a 10-year employee of the Trane company. He specializes in assisting consulting engineers and design build contractors throughout the Chicagoland area on decarbonization design as well as other system layout best practices.
