2026 April Dinner

April 16 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free – $20.00

New and creative solutions to mechanical systems help innovate the world when it comes to refrigeration and energy conservation, but are they really ethical? Ethics in engineering is something that should always be considered. From engineering new mechanical systems to contracting, ethics helps to prioritize public safety, health, and welfare above all other considerations.

As a society that strives to be good stewards of the world’s resources, we are expected to be committed to the code of ethics. ASHRAE 1.140.001 adopts these ethics as a foundation for better practice and decisions. These resources can even teach us how to recognize bias / conflicts arise and how to handle or avoid them.
