• 2024 February Meeting – Heat Pump Chillers

    The presentation will explore decarbonization strategies, focusing on replacing boilers with vapor compression chillers for heat recovery, emphasizing the electrification of heating. Attendees will gain insights into heat pump technology, learn to calculate Coefficient of Performance (COP), and understand its impact on heating costs. Mihir Nandkeolyar, an experienced industry professional and ASHRAE member, will lead the session, sharing his expertise in chiller systems.

  • 2024 March Meeting – Pathogen Control

    David Skelton, the owner and president of Evergreen UV LLC, will be speaking at the Northern Indiana ASHRAE Chapter’s lunch meeting on March 21, 2024 on the topic of Pathogen Control. The presentation will provide an overview of the fundamentals of installing germicidal light to neutralize airborne virus, bacteria, and mold for improved indoor air quality, and eliminating biological surface contamination within AHU’s / cooling coils to increase energy efficiency and address decarbonization. The new ASHRAE Standard 241 Standard, ‘Control of Infectious Aerosols’, will also be discussed.
